Is this service legal?
Yes. We are in the messenger business. We provide a legal, high-quality and responsible Messenger Service. When you subscribe to our service, we will buy a lottery ticket for the lottery of your choice. We then send you a scanned image of your ticket, and we secure your ticket awaiting the results of the drawing.
We act globally as a Messenger company, with a direct marketing infrastructure.
How do I know if I won a prize?
Our service includes the monitoring of all tickets bought by the subscribers to our messenger service and notification via e-mail if you win a prize. Keep in mind that it is the responsibility of each subscriber to check their tickets after each game to see if they have won. Additionally, lottery results are published on our website or you can visit the official lottery websites for results.
How do I collect a prize if I win?
Prize winnings under $600 will be automatically redeemed by our messenger service and will be, at your option, either credited to your subscription (essentially extending your subscription period and buying more lottery tickets) or sent to you. If you so choose, your winnings will be sent to you by check or wire transfer and you will be responsible for any applicable costs.
In order to abide by applicable laws, for prizes of $600 or more you have three options:
- We will send you the official lottery claim form which you will fill out, sign, and return to us. We will submit your signed form along with your winning ticket to the appropriate lottery commission to be redeemed. After verifying your identity and the validity of the claim the lottery commission will issue a check in your name. Keep in mind that the lottery commission always reserves the right of requiring that you appear personally to collect major prizes; particularly if you win the jackpot.
- You can collect your winnings yourself by appearing at one of our offices in person.
- We will send you your ticket via certified mail, or via any kind of transport mechanism that you specify. All risks and costs related to transporting the ticket are your responsibility.
How do I know that my ticket is not stolen or swapped if I win a prize?
As soon as we buy your ticket and before each lottery drawing, we print your name on your ticket and send you a copy. This assigns you legal ownership of the ticket, eliminating any chances your ticket might be stolen or redeemed by someone other than you. Click here
to see an image of a sample ticket. It is important to keep in mind that lotteries pay prizes under $600 in cash at any lottery retail location. This makes it very easy to handle small winnings. Prizes of $600 or more will be handled as described in #3 above. These larger prizes will only be paid to the owner of the ticket; i.e. the name that appears on the ticket.
Do you sell me the lottery tickets if I subscribe?
No. We are not in the business of selling lottery tickets and we don't have any kind of direct or indirect relationship with any lottery commission. We provide a Messenger Service that buys a lottery ticket that you request on your behalf at a lottery retail location. We do not participate or charge a commission on any winnings. We limit ourselves to a responsible, courteous and honest messenger service.
Do I have to pay taxes if I win a prize?
Yes. Any individual (US resident or foreigner) winning a prize of $600 or more in the USA must pay federal and state taxes on the winnings. The percentages vary per state. Taxes are normally retained by the lottery commission before they issue a check.
Can I play the lottery if I am not a US citizen or resident?
Yes. Any individual over 18 years old can play the lottery in the USA. It is not necessary to be a US citizen or resident in order to legally play any of the US lotteries.
Is your company responsible for paying a lottery prize?
No. We are not related directly or indirectly to any lottery commission. Ours is simply a Messenger Service that buys tickets on your behalf at a lottery retail location. Therefore, our ultimate responsibility is to hand you your winning ticket or any winnings that we collected on your behalf. Our company cannot be responsible for prizes that have not been collected from a lottery commission. The responsibility to pay and abide by the terms of prize redemptions lies exclusively with the lottery commission that issued the ticket.
When do the lottery drawings occur?
The lottery drawings included in our service occur according to the following schedule:
- Florida: Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:00PM Eastern Time.
- California: Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:57PM Pacific Time.
- New York: Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:21PM Eastern Time.
- Powerball: Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59PM Eastern Time.
- Megamillions: Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:00PM Pacific Time.
In what states are the multi-state lotteries played?
- The Megamillions lottery is played in California.
- The Powerball lottery is played in Rhode Island.
When is my subscription activated?
As soon as your payment can be verified, your subscription will be activated and we will do everything within our power to include you in the next lottery drawing. You will be notified via email when your subscription is active and you will receive an email with a scanned image of the ticket.
Do you charge a percentage of my winnings?
No. Our company does not participate in any winnings nor is it responsible for them. Ours is a messenger service and we will not charge a percentage of any of our clients' winnings. All of our fees are flat fees, independent of any winnings. Your winnings are entirely yours!
How is my subscription guaranteed and how do I know that tickets are bought on my behalf?
When you subscribe to our service you are dealing with a company established and incorporated under the laws of the State of California. You immediately receive via email a payment notification backed by our company and your credit card company. Once your payment is confirmed you will receive an invoice that confirms your subscription and approves the transaction. Finally, while your subscription is active you will receive via email, twice a week and before each lottery drawing, a scanned copy of your ticket.
I subscribed but I don't like this anymore. Can I get my money back?
Yes. Absolutely. Just send us an email. We will refund you the unused portion of your subscription minus $10 for administrative costs. No questions asked.
What if I don't receive my ticket?
When you subscribe to our service you will receive a username and password to access a special area of our website where you will be able to see your playing tickets at any time. If you don't receive our emails please contact us and let us know. We will resend your ticket or you can provide us with a new email address. Please remember to keep your email address updated.
Can I choose the numbers I play?
Yes. At Elmensajeromillonario.com you can select the numbers you want to bet on. However, you can also choose the option preferred by the great majority of lottery players: the QUICK PICK mode, through which the computer randomly selects the numbers to bet on.
How do I know what numbers I'm playing?
You will always know ahead of time what numbers you are playing on a lottery drawing. Before each lottery drawing you will receive via email a scanned copy of your ticket showing the numbers that the computer randomly selected for you. You can also log into our website and view your current or previous tickets.
